
When you create a new SAP instance, several automated processes occur, with the instance's status reflecting its progress. Broadly, the instance goes through the following stages:

1. **Creating**: The instance is under construction, with all dependencies being installed.
2. **Pending**: The SAP system and database are in the process of starting up.
3. **Ready**: The SAP system is prepared for you to access it.

## ⚠️ Important notes

For S/4HANA instances, the disk must be transferred to memory. Sometimes, even if the instance status shows "SAP running," you might need to wait a few minutes before successfully logging into SAP.
