## Options for connectivity
There are two primary methods to establish connectivity: using Destinations for simplicity and Cloud Connectors for enhanced security. Each has its merits depending on your needs. Here’s a breakdown of what each type offers to help you choose the best fit for your environment.

### Destinations
   - **Setup ease:** Configurations are straightforward with minimal setup required.
   - **Non-critical systems:** Best for non-critical systems where top-tier security isn't a priority.
   - **Simplicity:** Allows direct connections to SAP systems without needing an additional virtual machine or service.

### Cloud Connector
   - **Installation required:** This method needs both installation and configuration but provides additional features and benefits.
   - **Highly secure:** Ideal for critical systems protected by firewalls.
   - **Infrastructure needs:** Requires a virtual machine or additional service to support the connection.

## How to set up a destination
If you [subscribe to the Developer plan](/pricing) on Nuve, this is the option for you. To set up a destination in SAP BTP, follow these steps.
1. In the BTP cockpit, navigate to the **Connectivity** -> **Destinations** section. Click on **Create Destination** and use the screenshot below as a guide.

2. To find the URL:

   b.    c. Copy the URL from the address bar. For example, `https://btp.instance.nuve.run` and use this URL in the **Destination Configuration**.

## Check the connection
1. Once set up, check the connection of your destination to ensure everything is running smoothly. The success message is slightly misleading but you can confirm connectivity by starting your app development.

2. For example, when configuring the data source and service selection, you should select **Connect to a System** then select the destination you just created, **btp-to-nuve** and select from the available services.

> <br/>In some cases, the service selection will fail.
> If you click the `< Back` button and then try again it should work.<br/><br/>
